Creative Writing

The Creative Writing component provides a platform for volunteers to express their reflections on Black history through storytelling, poetry, and other forms of written art. Participants engage with the historical narratives surrounding figures like Jacob Wainwright and David Livingstone, offering personal interpretations that bring the past to life in meaningful ways.

Workshops help develop writing skills by offering guidance on structure, style, and voice, while encouraging participants to explore themes such as identity, legacy, and resilience. The written works are shared through public readings, publications, and digital platforms, adding a rich creative layer to the project’s exploration of Black history.
